Updates

July 1

Antonio of Venice breezed on Tuesday working 4 furlongs on the dirt in 48.17 at Saratoga. That work was 5 of 16 at the distance.

We spoke with trainer Rudy Rodriguez after the breeze. He said, "He breezed extremely well this morning. I worked him in company with another horse and I had the rider hold our horse back because I'm trying to give the order horse some confidence. Our horse could have smoked him. I have him entered for Friday as main-track-only. If that race doesn't come off the grass I'll probably point to the Allowance in a few weeks."

Antonio of Venice is entered to the Harvey Pack Stakes going 5 1/2 furlongs on the turf as MTO on July 4 at Saratoga.

June 9

Antonio of Venice breezed on Monday working 4 furlongs on the dirt in 48.48 at Saratoga. That work was 1 of 13 at the distance.

We spoke with trainer Rudy Rodriguez after the breeze. He said, "He worked well. We had to scratch him on Saturday due to the wet track. So I gave him a little blowout this morning. He's doing very well."

Rudy will keep Antonio of Venice fresh as he looks for the next appropriate race.
