DuchessOfNormandy breezed on Monday working 5 furlongs on the dirt (good) in 1:03.40 at Finger Lakes. That work was 1 of 1 at the distance.
We spoke with trainer Jeff Englehart after the breeze. He said, "She worked very well this morning.
The rider said she got a little tired approaching the 3/4 mark. Today's breeze should tighten her down well. She's doing very well."
Jeff will breeze DuchessOfNormandy on a 7-day breeze schedule preparing her for her next race in New York.

DuchessOfNormandy breezed on Tuesday working 4 furlongs from the gate on the dirt (sloppy) in 51.40 at Finger Lakes. That work was 11 of 13 at the distance.
We spoke with trainer Jeff Englehart after the breeze. He said, "She breezed nicely this morning. The track is sloppy so I didn't want to do too much with her. Overall she's doing very well and has improved quite a bit. I plan to enter her tomorrow to the Maiden race on Sunday."
Jeff will enter DuchessOfNormandy to the $40,000 Maiden Claiming race going 6 furlongs on the turf at Aqueduct on September 15.
