Antonio of Venice breezed on Tuesday working 4 furlongs on the dirt in 47.04 at Saratoga. That work was the bullet of 4 at the distance.
We spoke with trainer Rudy Rodriguez after the breeze. He said, "He worked like a champ this morning. I worked him by himself and I had the rider go easy and in hand. He went great. As long as he comes out of the breeze in good order he'll be ready to go on Sunday."
Antonio of Venice is entered to run in the Mike Lee Stakes $125,000 on June 9 at Saratoga.
Antonio of Venice breezed on Sunday working 4 furlongs on the dirt in 50.41 over the Belmont Park Training Track. That work was 111 of 133 at the distance.
We spoke with trainer Rudy Rodriguez after the breeze. He said, "I gave him a leg-stretcher to keep him happy. He's doing fantastic."
Rudy will keep Antonio of Venice fresh as he prepares him for his next race which should be in mid-June.
