Antonio of Venice breezed on Sunday working 4 furlongs on the dirt in 48.03 over the Belmont Park Training Track. That work was 7 of 129 at the distance.
We spoke with trainer Rudy Rodriguez after the breeze. He said, "He worked extremely well this morning. I worked him in company with Heaveyweight Champs and they both went well. Antonio of Venice went in hand, nice and easily. As long as he comes out of this work in good order I'll look to enter him to the Stallion Stakes race next for Sunday."
Rudy will point Antonio of Venice to the New York Stallion Stakes $200,000 going 6 1/2 furlongs at Aqueduct on April 14.
