Antonio of Venice breezed on Saturday working 4 furlongs on the dirt in 49.54 at Belmont Park. That work was 25 of 48 at the distance.
We spoke with trainer Rudy Rodriguez after the breeze. He said, "I worked him nice and easy this morning and he went well. I've got him nominated to a couple of stakes later in the month. I'm not sure yet where we're going to run him next. He's doing well."
Rudy will continue to train Antonio of Venice to his next race which will be in late September or early October.
Antonio of Venice breezed on Friday working 4 furlongs on the dirt in 49.11 over the Belmont Park Training Track. That work was 15 of 46 at the distance.
We spoke with trainer Rudy Rodriguez after the breeze. He said, "He breezed nice and easy this morning. I’m just keeping him happy. I'm planning on running him back in a stakes race towards the end of the month."
Rudy will train Antonio of Venice to his next race which could be the Aspirant Stakes going 5 1/2 furlongs at Finger Lakes on September 25.
