King of France breezed on Thursday working 4 furlongs on the dirt in 50.23 at Saratoga. That work was 50 of 72 at the distance.
We spoke with trainer Ray Handel after the breeze. He said, "I worked him in company today on the inside of another horse. He worked well but got a little tired at the end. He's doing well but will need more condition before we can run."
Ray will train King of France to his debut which we expect will be sometime in August at Saratoga.
King of France breezed on Monday working 4 furlongs on the dirt in 51.18 at Belmont Park. That work was 13 of 17 at the distance.
We spoke with trainer Ray Handel after the breeze. He said, "He worked well this morning. He went way too fast last week so I made sure the rider slowed him down and took it easy this morning. It was a nice maintenance work. I had the rider give a decent, easy breeze. Iím happy with the way it went."
Ray will continue to breeze King of France on a 7-day breeze schedule preparing him for a debt in New York.
