Luca at the Spa breezed on Friday working 4 furlongs from the gate in 48.10 over the Belmont Park training track. That work was 30th of 255 at the distance.
We spoke with trainer Steve Klesaris after the breeze. Steve said, “He worked well this morning. He should be ready to run off this work. I’m planning on entering him for a race next week.”
Steve will enter Luca at the Spa to the Maiden Special Weight going 6 1/2 furlongs at Aqueduct on March 19.

Luca at the Spa breezed on Wednesday working 4 furlongs from the gate in 48.32 over the Belmont Park training track. That work was 6th of 56 at the distance.
We spoke with trainer Steve Klesaris after the breeze. Steve said, “He worked very nicely this morning. He should need one more breeze and then be ready to run.”
Steve will breeze Luca at the Spa on a 10-day breeze schedule preparing him for a debut at Aqueduct.
