This handsome colt is a half-brother to a multiple stakes winner. He's by a G1-winning/champion-producing sire and by a stakes-producing mare. His dam's sire is one of the leading broodmare sires. He has the breeding to run on either surface and compete at classic distances.PEDIGREE PAST PERFORMANCE VIDEO PHOTOS

Promise the Sky won his second consecutive race at Parx on Sunday sitting off the initial pace then digging in down the stretch to battle gamely to the wire. Breaking from post 5 Promise the Sky settled between rivals, moved easily to the front, battled to the finish and appeared to win the head bob. Inexplicably the placing judges declared the race a dead heat. Promise the Sky was claimed out of the race.
We spoke with trainer Steve Klesaris after the race and Steve said, “He’s a nice horse. He has his physical issues but we’ve managed to contain them for the time being.”
We also spoke with Hibiscus Stables CEO Mike Oliveto after the race. Mike said, “This horse was just starting to get moving in the right direction. We didn’t want to lose him today. He has his issues and, if they remain quiet, I think this horse will be OK. Two consecutive wins is great for the partners. As for the dead heat, the Parx photo finish camera “malfunctioned” and, for reasons unknown, the placing judges declared the finish a dead heat. We’ve filed a protest and requested a hearing on the matter.
Promise the Sky earned $7,800 for Sunday’s dead heat win.
Promise the Sky is entered to run in Sunday’s 1st race at Parx which is a $7,500 Claiming race going 1 mile 70 yards 3-year-olds and up which have never won two races. He drew post position 5 and jockey Edwin Rivera is named to ride. Rivera is currently ranked 10th in the Parx jockey standings with 32 wins and an 12% winning percentage.
Promise the Sky is currently the 4-1 Daily Racing Form morning line second choice in the race. He’s tied for the DRF Consensus second choice in the race. Two DRF handicappers select him as their second choice in the race and one DRF handicapper selects him as his third choice in the race.
The purse for this race is $19,500.
First race post time is 12:55 PM and Promise the Sky's race is Race 1. As always there will be a Hibiscus table in the clubhouse restaurant. Everyone is invited to join our partners at Parx for a fun day of racing.
